Two of a Kind - Simply Stampin' Challenge

Morning lovelies! I hope today finds you all well and chirpy? The challenge over at Simply Stampin' is to make 2 of a kind today... so of course I broke the rules... why stop at 2?!
When I made the first of these cupcake toppers I knew I had to make a whole set! These toppers are one of the makes we will be creating on my jubilee themed class on 6th May for which there are a few spaces still left - contact me at craftingbecky@gmail.com if you want to take part!

I love the colour combo of Real Red, Whisper White and Night of Navy - the closest match to the Union Jack flag colours. The three colours are so vibrant and create real impact, here is a close up of the red side of one of the toppers:

And the reverse of the same flower in the blue colour way is below. The stamp I have used is from the A la Carte selection of the catalogue, priced at £7.95 it is so versatile and wood mounted! Triple treat flower is a great starting place for beginner crafters and a great addition to the seasoned crafter's stash.

All items used are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated.

Recipe:
Stamp Sets: Triple Treat Flower
Inks: Real Red, Night of Navy
Card Stock: Whisper White
Punches: 1/2" Circle, 5 Petal Flower, Fancy Flower
Other: Dimensionals, cocktail sticks (non SU)

Cupcake Punch SPECIAL OFFER!

Who doesn't love cupcakes?!

I know I am a huge fan, they look and taste so good, so when I saw the build a cupcake stamp set in the mini catalogue, with the matching punch I had to have them! Because I think you will love them to, I am offering an exclusive 10% discount this weekend only! Here is a card using both of them, although it didn't turn out quite how I anticipated, as making it late at night, with dodgy lighting I thought I was using Bashful Blue - but actually used Baja Breeze. I also used Wild Wasabi thinking it was Certainly Celery. Oh well - I still like it!

Please excuse the dodgy stamping of the text at the bottom of the card - I blame being over tired when making this card along with the bad lighting!

If you love this stamp set and punch as much as I do you need to contact me quick! Both the punch and stamp set are only available to order until MONDAY!

The punch is great value at £15.50, and the stamp set is £20.95 (wood mounted) or £16.95 (cling mounted) BUT place an order with me for both the stamp set and punch this weekend and receive an exclusive 10% DISCOUNT on these items!

Here is a close up of the topper I made using the cupcake set:

Recipe:
Stamp Sets: Create a Cupcake, So Swirly.
Inks: Baja Breeze, Regal Rose.
Card Stock: Baja Breeze, Regal Rose, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White.
Punches: Cupcake Builder, Scallop Circle, Scallop Trim Border.
Ribbon: Baja Breeze.
Other: Spray Glitter (non SU), Basic Rhinestone.

I am so so pleased with how this card came out, very clean and simple for me, but really effective: by restricting the red only to the cherries they really pop!

Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Pacific Point, Polkadot (non SU).
Inks: Crumb Cake, Night of Navy
Ribbon: Bashful Blue.

Easter Card - Simply Stampin' Challenge

No prizes for guessing the theme for this week! I have chosen to used a lovely set from SU which is sadly retired now called Special Blessings. Paired with soft spring like colours and some fabulous designer series paper this card makes me think of new life and hope:

I have used a lot of foam pads (sticky fixers) to create multiple layers (take a look at the picture below where it is shown a bit clearer) however some of the areas I wanted raised were so tiny I had to cut  the pads up.

It doesn't show very well but I have clear embossed the whole of the cross after stamping it with the ink to add a beautiful sheen and help draw the eye in. Did you notice the pearls I have tucked into the corners? I love SU's pearls as they have a much more natural vanilla colour than other brands I have used - plus the sticky is really sticky, meaning they stay where they are put! I hope you like it, and here is the recipe (all SU products unless otherwise stated):

Stamp Sets: Special Blessings, Alleluia! (non SU)
Inks: Baja Breeze, VersaMark
Card Stock: Lucky Limeade, Baja Breeze, Whisper White.
Punches/Dies: 2-Step Bird, Ovals and Scallops (non SU)
Ribbon Whisper White Taffeta
Other: Whisper White and Clear Embossing Powder, Springtime Vintage DSP, Basic Pearls
Tools: Heat Gun, Cuttlebug
